A Spring Festival cultural experience activity was organized for international students on Feb 10, celebrating the upcoming festival through traditional arts such as calligraphy and paper-cutting.
Held to mark the Minor New Year, the event featured the theme “Celebrating the Spring Festival in Jiangxi”, and aimed to introduce international students to the cultural traditions and festive spirit of the Chinese New Year. The venue was decorated with red lanterns, paper-cuttings and other traditional ornaments, creating a lively holiday atmosphere on campus. Guided by teachers, international students tried their hands at Chinese calligraphy and paper-cutting, and explored the symbolic meanings and auspicious wishes associated with Spring Festival traditions.
The event also provided a relaxed setting for cultural exchange. Students shared New Year customs from their home countries while learning about Chinese holiday traditions.
By bringing traditional culture into a hands-on experience, the activity enriched international students’ holiday life on campus and helped deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, while adding a festive and welcoming Spring Festival atmosphere to JUWP.
